I'm obsessed with light. I notice it everywhere. The way it turns something completely ordinary into something that takes your breath away. When the light hits just right, you'll know. I'm not quiet about it.
I bring a lot of energy to a session. Like...a lot. I make noises when I love what I'm seeing....that's how you know it's good. You may walk in nervous and unsure but will leave laughing, and that might be my favorite thing.
When I can fully be myself, something shifts. You relax. You laugh. You stop thinking about the camera...and that's when it happens. That beautiful little moment that stands still in time.
She can be herself, maybe I can be myself too.

Honestly? Way more fun than you may think. Amy J. Hamilton's senior sessions in Northeast Wyoming are more like hanging out with someone who happens to have a camera and loves good light. You'll move around, try different looks, maybe do something a little unexpected. You don't have to know how to pose. You don't have to know what you're doing at all...Amy does and she will guide you through the whole thing so you end up with images that actually look like you. Most sessions run 2-3 hours and go by fast!
What should I wear for my senior portraits?
Brings options! 3-5 options that feel like you on your best day. Think about what you actually reach for in your closet, not what looks dressy. Solid colors photograph beautifully, but if your whole personality is bold print, bring it. Avoid giant logos. Don't forget layers, accessories, and hats...they add so much to your gallery. In Northeast Wyoming the weather has it's own agenda, so layers are just smart. Amy is happy to help you plan your clothing ahead of time.
What should parents expect from a senior portrait session?
Your job on session day is pretty simple...show up and trust the process. Amy J. Hamilton has been photographing high school seniors in Northeast Wyoming for over 20 years...she's got this! Your welcome to stay or grab coffee and come back in a couple hours...whatever works for you. Either way, you will be amazed at what you see in the gallery.
How will I see my photos and how long will it take?
Your gallery will be viewable through an online portal. You will get an email and most likely a message from me telling you the pictures are ready to view. Turnaround is typically 1-2 weeks. Amy will keep you in the loop, worth the wait, promise!
